Mise-en-scene recreation

  1) Get into groups of up to four. Note: although the planning and filming can be done as a group, all students MUST edit their OWN version of the chosen scene. Make a note of who you are working with. I am working by myself on this project. I will focus on recreating the Blair Witch Project apology scene.  2) Create a plan of how you will do the recreation using CLAMPS . For each aspect of mise-en-scene, work out how you will recreate it as accurately as possible to the original.  Costume- Only a beanie is shown in the scene. So when filming, i'll just present myself with a beanie on.  Lighting- To recreate the same type of lighting in the scene, i'll use my phone flashlight to make it as accurate as possible. Actor placement, movement, expression- Present myself as upset, regretful and distressed while attempting to cry in order to mimic the character in the scene. Additionally, i'll shake my phone camera while filming to indicate the panic and stress what the ...

1) Find a distinctive  still image  and write an analysis of the mise-en-scene. Use each of the aspects you've learned in the lesson. Costume- Full black, tailored suit. Might indicate he wants to act stealthy while having a fancy suit on. Lighting- Warm lighting made from the candles which reinforce the church-like setting. Actor- Looks tired, messy hair, and walking away from the scene. This suggests that he might’ve been in a tough fight. Makeup- Doesn’t  look like any makeup was used in this scene. However they can use makeup to make him look bloody and                        beaten Props- No props were used by the character. However the candles might be props. Setting- Church like environment  2) Find  TWO  film or TV extracts on YouTube from different genres (e.g. horror, sci-fi, costume drama). Embed them in your blogpost and write a comparison of the mise-en-scene in each. I n this Harry Po...

Film poster analysis

1) I think this film is about the protagonist having a robot girlfriend which later betrays him for something or someone. I believe the female character is a robot because her face looks inhuman. 2) I think this films a hybrid genre between action and film noir . I believe this because the poster mainly shows dark colours indicating it may be a film with death.  3) I think the target audience is young adults due to the futuristic vibe. 1) I think this film is about a group of friends fighting against various horror movie characters in a very comedic style due to the character designs and colours 2) I think this films is another hybrid genre between horror and comedy because of the character designs and expressions 3) I think this film’s target audience is teenagers because of the reviews shown in the poster. 1) I think this films is about the protagonist ’s daily life and how life is wherever he lives because the film looks local and old 2) I think this film is a comedy beca...

Newspapers Which daily newspapers (if any) do you read?          I don't read any newspapers but I did study The Daily Mail and the The Times when i was doing             gcse media. What sections of newspapers do you turn to first, and why?           Most likely the main news because I would want to know what's going on in the world What sections do you never read, and why?           Finance because i have no reason to do so. What kinds of stories do you usually read and why?            Do you, or someone else, buy the newspaper you read?          I don't buy newspapers. Do you look at the online versions of any newspapers? Which newspapers? Why do you visit their website and not others?           I would prefer to look at online news websites because they would be more convenient to    ...
